MDavis23 Posted October 2, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2016 This is from Carnival's website: "Cheers! Includes: All spirits (including cocktails), as well as beer and wine by the glass with a $50 or lower menu price." The way I interpret this is that I could purchase a glass of scotch that costs $30; is that correct? I thought the drink cost had a limit set on it; you could not purchase drinks for free with Cheers if the drink price was over a certain dollar amount. To me, I would also interpret this that the "Fish Bowl" drink in the Red Frog Pub is included with Cheers? I know that the Fish Bowl has many liquors in it, as does an Electric Iced Tea, but i don't see it excluded. I would love clarification. Thanks for the input. Cruise-Crazy Posted October 2, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 2, 2016 I think the $30 scotch would work. I have seen on other threads about Cheers that the Fish Bowl is not included.

WLHyatt Posted October 2, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 2, 2016 There are exclusions in the cheers documentation that exclusively call out tubes of beer and fish bowls as not being covered. It's basically any single-serving drink up to $50.

volmoma Posted October 2, 2016 #9 Share Posted October 2, 2016 (edited) If the beer is in a single can, yes it is covered under the Cheers program. The Fish Bowl isn't, it's considered, served with several straws, a group drink, and Cheers doesn't cover this drink. SORRY. MarcyAthanBucy Posted October 2, 2016 #10 Share Posted October 2, 2016 We have done cheers many times now, and the new enhancements are great.... the specialty coffee & tea, milk shakes & energy drinks really make it worth it, at least for us anyway.... I keep all my invoices for my scrap books and out of curiosity I looked at one from before upgrade & after upgrade... we definitely saved even more after the upgrade with what is now included. woods5 Posted October 3, 2016 #14 Share Posted October 3, 2016 The main problem with the program is everyone 21 and over in the cabin has to buy it even if only one drinks etc. Everyone should not have to buy into the program. It should be a choice, you only get 15 drinks a day whether you drink it or not. Even if you shared your drinks Carnival still makes money. bptex Posted October 3, 2016 #15 Share Posted October 3, 2016 If they carry a brand of scotch that costs that, then yes, it's included. This! I got off the Dream yesterday and had Cheers. The most expensive drink period is a Rose Champagne in the steakhouse for $20 per serving. The casino bar carried a VX Grey Goose that was $14 a serving or $18 in a martini. The best scotch was Chivas Royal Salute 21 year and it was also $14 by itself. There was also some kind of Patron that was $14.95 at the Blue Iguana. The Chivas Royal is an expensive drink no matter what, they probably should be charging more for it. However at least 3 different bars had it. bptex Posted October 3, 2016 #17 Share Posted October 3, 2016 Where did you get the Chivas Royal? The Atrium bar and at the steakhouse. Which was just for the bar, we did not eat there. Pretty sure the casino bar also had it, they had the best stocked bar on the ship by a large margin.

alwaysReady2travel Posted October 29, 2017 #23 Share Posted October 29, 2017 If I don't pre-buy CHEERS, can I buy it once onboard (albeit more $$) but starting the next day (not the day I board) and only be charged for that next day forward? Also, am I going to be able to get a specialty coffee on the day we disembark or is the package stopped at 6am on departure day?
WindinmySails Posted October 29, 2017 #24 Share Posted October 29, 2017 Here is a time question....on our embarkation day, is it still the 15 drink limit.....I can't see reaching that with alcohol...and then is it going to the next day at midnight? So if I had a drink in the casino at sa 12:30 am, does that go to the following day?
