Beach question

Looking for a beach where we can get a lot of shade and rent loungers. DH is sun sensitive and we need lots of umbrellas/ trees that shade. Also looking for clean calm water. Input appreciated.

Sapphire Beach has lots of natural shade, you can place your lounge chairs under one of the trees along the water. The water is beautiful and the beach section closer to the dive shop is sandy. Generally nice and calm, of course conditions can be different only one day.

Secret Harbor is a calm bay but little shade is available to day visitors, you'd want to get there early to be assured of umbrellas.

Sapphire has been one of our favorites and we recently went to Linquist as well and it is like Sapphire with grape trees lining the beach and plenty of shade.

I have reviews with pictures in them in my signature line if you are interested. :)

Smith Bay Park (Lindqvist Beach) is also gorgeous but doesn't have lounge rentals unless something has changed? You can get lounges through the ship excursion, but would recommend going on your own to Sapphire or another beach rather than that option.

You are right, now chairs, but they do have picnic tables under the trees so still some place to sit if needed. I guess I really never pay attention to those things since I stay in the beautiful water most of the time. :D

If it weren't for Sapphire we'd grab a lunch and drinks at Gourmet Gallery at the dock and just lay on the sand at Smith Bay. But Sapphire is still our choice for gorgeous views and water and amenities with no huge crowds.

We're biased because we rent a condo there of course, one of the few spots you can stay so close to the water...
