Refurbishment schedule for RCL

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know the schedule for upcoming refurbishment on RCL ships?

I am taking the Serenade of the Seas in Feb just wondering if any improvements will happen before I go on my cruise. I read some of the reviews and many people complain about the aging ship issues.

Serenade isn't due until 2017 I believe...however I wouldn't worry RCI maintains their fleet in excellent condition.

We were just on Serenade for her Norwegian Fjords cruise followed by her transatlantic from Copenhagen to Boston and noticed none of the "tired" aspects that some have claimed to have seen. In fact we noted an area on Deck 13 which had appeared in need of refreshment a year or so ago, now sported much needed new carpeting. I agree with the poster who mentioned the amount of preventative maintenance that RCI regularly performs on its ships and don't think you need to be unnecessarily concerned about the condition she will be in when you sail.

In fact we will be back on her in just a few weeks and will be happy to confirm her condition at that time.:)
