So we booked a guaranteed Concierge cabin and when we received the cabin number found that there are these metal "struts" (for lack of a better word) all along the balconies toward the aft of the ship where our cabin is located. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Have you been in one of those cabins? Would you describe the view as obstructed?

as my husband once said about those struts....it's like a toothache....your tongue keeps going to the same spot....the same thing will happen with your eyes....they will keep going to the struts...

I would say no to obstructed. We love deck 12 aft with the large overhang. Great for keeping out the sun and rain. The struts are in between cabins not in the middle of your balcony.
