dpws Posted October 14, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2016 Hi can anyone tell me if ncl or carnival offer a discount if you book 2 cruises back to back on the same ship, many thanks
hawkeyetlse Posted October 14, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 14, 2016 (edited) NCL does not have an automatic discount. Some longer cruises that they offer are actually two b2b cruises, and in that case it's up to you to compare the pricing. Sometimes it's cheaper as two cruises, sometimes it's cheaper as one cruise (and there are other factors to take into account besides the base cruise fare: promos, shareholder credit, and other perks). What you can't do is pick any two consecutive cruises on the same ship and ask NCL to book them for you as one cruise with a discount. (I mean, of course you can ask, but they don't have a standard practice of doing that.) Edited October 14, 2016 by hawkeyetlse
BuckeyeCruiseGuy Posted October 14, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 14, 2016 Carnival use to offer $50 off the second cruise, but they stopped doing that about a decade ago. You might find a TA that will give you additional perks for booking back to back cruises.
EllieinNJ Posted October 14, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 14, 2016 When we booked our b2b for Greece and Croatia, it was approx. $300 pp less than booking two separate cruises. On the downside, we only got one set of perks instead of two.
ready2cruzagain Posted October 15, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 15, 2016 Carnival does NOT give you any sort of discount, they stopped that 20 years ago. You might get a fruit basket or a cheap bottle of champagne but that depends on your hotel director. It was cheaper for us to book our NCL b2b as 2 separate cruises. NCL is offering them as one cruise but it is $400pp more than booking them individually.
