TheDougOut Posted October 17, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 17, 2016 Are Pride of America drinks priced similar to what we see on the fleet-wide drink menus that get posted from time to time? Or are they less-inflated due to drink packages not being offered on the ship? I've been considering pitching the POA for a big family trip, but I'm unsure if I could survive traveling with the extended family without the UBP. dexddd Posted October 17, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2016 I can't say for certain if they are the same across the board on POA but they are mostly the same or very close. You are off the ship quite a bit on this trip normally. They do sell a wine package on the POA.
TheDougOut Posted October 17, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted October 17, 2016 They do sell a wine package on the POA. Is this like the old "buy so many bottles get 1 free or get x% off" (I don't recall which one)? We had something like that on the Jewel a few years back, pre-ubp. dexddd Posted October 17, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 17, 2016 3 packages with up to 25% savings.
chengkp75 Posted October 17, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 17, 2016 If anything, the drink prices would be higher. The foreign flag ships get their liquor free of any state tax, while every drop of POA's liquor has a Hawaiian state tax stamp on it. That state tax is $5.95/gallon.
