CeeCee46 Posted October 17, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 17, 2016 Hi Everyone, Totally new to cruising although it's been a lifelong ambition to go on one. Am single and have decided to book a Crystal cruise for next year - i'm not too fussed about where i go, just want to relax on the ship, read a couple of good books, dine on tasty food and wine and take in the views. If i can find a last minute deal, so much the better! I've seen a really good offer on Crystal Serenity - a cabin with a balcony for a tenth of the price of the rest of the cabins. My question is: There has to be a catch, right?...
paul929207 Posted October 17, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2016 I am not familiar with Crystal pricing, but a 90% discount seems unusual. Are you dealing with a TA. If you book it be sure to use a credit card and make sure the charge is to Crystal, not the TA
fishywood Posted October 17, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 17, 2016 Did you actually click through the offer to see if the rate on the splash page is for real or a typo that omitted a digit from the price which is what I strongly suspect. (Welcome to Cruise Critic--and I hope this reaches you before this thread is deleted as it is against board rules to name specific travel agents)
calliopecruiser Posted October 18, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 18, 2016 Looks like a typo - the Crystal website doesn't list a deal there. Did you enquire or book?
