If I understand your. question correctly, yes you can access the aft pool there is a door way that leads out to the pool area. We just got off the Crown two weeks ago and we used it. You just go as far back on the Aloha deck , the door is there ( !We were on starboard side, not sure about port side). There is a short stairway up. Hope this helps.

Thrak might be thinking of a different ship, not all of them have that door.

But.. but... The stairs you mention are at the back of Riviera deck - deck 14.

From deck 12 you have to go up one deck to 14. Access to the pool is from Riviera and Lido decks.

From the photo below, you can see that the Aloha Deck (12) is the last deck with aft suites. There is no access to the pool from there. Above that is the deck with lounge chairs, and portholes to either side. This is the Riviera Deck. (The portholes are the aft-facing OV Cabins). Above that is the Lido Deck which has the barstools underneath the overhang. If you look on the Port side of the ship, to the left of the little staircase that leads down from the Lido Deck, you will see a large air vent. And just to the left of the air vent you can make out a hand rail that is part of the stairs that lead up from the Riviera deck.
