dottedline Posted October 21, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 21, 2016 (edited) I'm not sure where to ask this, so hoping you guys steer me to the correct place if this isn't it. We have a cruise out of Rio (on the Sun) that begins 3/30/17. The ship will actually overnight in port and leave on the 31st. All the other cruises that I've been on we depart the same day and have to be onboard 2 hours before departure. Since we're overnighting, can we check in late in the day (maybe early evening) on the 30th? I called NCL but didn't get a confident answer. Thanks for any help! Rare www3traveler Posted October 21, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 21, 2016 Just guessing not having boarded in South America but, I would think that when you are able to print out your E-Documents, they give you instructions as to date, time and location to board. casofilia Posted October 21, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 21, 2016 We had an overnight to start a cruise in Quebec so not the same country I know but here is what happened. We arrived the first day at the usual boarding time (10am for 11.30) as we had paid for that day!! Once settled we were able to go back into Quebec to explore. Then the ship was just like a hotel you could come and go all night. The next day we took a tour and when we got back to the ship people were still boarding having "missed" the first day of the cruise. Muster drill was on the afternoon of the second day. Rare BirdTravels Posted October 22, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 22, 2016 Checkin counters will have limited hours. Don't know what happens if you show up outside those hours. Not getting onto he ship without a cruise card.
