bogofman Posted October 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2016 I've been monitoring the ships tour prices through my online login at royalcaribbean.com and the prices are going up as we get closer to boarding. does this normally happen. I assumed they were fluctuating due to £to $ rate , but there have been two price increases in the last week, even though the exchange rate has not moved in the same period. Do the on ship prices correspond to the online prices?

PIGSKIN Posted October 24, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 24, 2016 When I booked my Post cruise tour about a month ago-- the price went down a few dollars. Sent from my iPad using Forums
tinkertwo Posted October 24, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 24, 2016 I received an email about 8 weeks before our cruise that offered a discount on them. I forget how much it was, I'm thinking 15%, and it was only offered for a small window of time. Other than that I believe that the rate is the same whether you purchase before or on board. dani negreanu Posted October 24, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 24, 2016 I've found out that on board the prices went up. I had some OBC I wanted to use and waited until on board. Not only they wanted more money, they also shortened the duration.... Other time, they completely changed the itinerary which was offered before the sailing. Or the excursion was not longer offered. Bailey & Sophie Posted October 24, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 24, 2016 I've seen prices go up. Sometimes by as much as $5. Some we've been interested in have disappeared, too. I have assumed that it was either limited participation and therefore full, or the vendor pulled the excursion. I have reserved excursions and when we arrived on the ship the excursion had been cancelled. We're not beach people so sometimes it was hard to come up with a replacement at the last minutes.
