Rare 81Zoomie Posted October 25, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2016 any suggestions for a good Italian restaurant in near embassy suite in fll thanks It's not super close, but Cafe Vico near Sunrise and Federal Highway is a favorite of friends and family. brunello22 Posted October 25, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 25, 2016 (edited) any suggestions for a good Italian restaurant in near embassy suite in fll thanks While there are a couple of Italian restaurants within walking distance of Embassy Suites (Carabba's and Bistro Mezzaluna), I like Serafina. It's in the Victoria Park neighborhood on the Middle River, and is about a 10-minute taxi/Uber from the hotel. Cafe Vico, mentioned above, is also very good, and is close to Serafina. rabin1 Posted October 25, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 25, 2016 Hello I live in Ft. Lauderdale and the best italian restaurant is Casa De Angelo. It is very pricey and about 10 minute Uber or cab ride from your hotel. I haven;t been there too many times because of the price but it is incredible. maitlandmom Posted October 25, 2016 #7 Share Posted October 25, 2016 It's not fine Italian food but Dough boys on 17th is very good. I really feel the Casa de Angelo is worth the distance. I also like Fork and Balls on Las Olas
lovey1103 Posted October 26, 2016 #8 Share Posted October 26, 2016 Giorgios for Pizza on 17th is really good. They also have other Italian dishes but we always opt for the pizza.

lel5344 Posted October 28, 2016 #10 Share Posted October 28, 2016 It's not fancy or overwhelming. Just a good place to eat. An easy walk from the Renaissance on 17th Ave.
iSailor Posted October 28, 2016 #11 Share Posted October 28, 2016 Have you ever heard of http://www.ilmulinofl.com/ To me this is one of the best in Ft. Lauderdale.
warmwinds Posted October 28, 2016 #12 Share Posted October 28, 2016 Have you ever heard of http://www.ilmulinofl.com/To me this is one of the best in Ft. Lauderdale. But that is way up on Sunrise, very far from what the OP wanted. But if you want to talk about that area, we really enjoyed Franco and Vinny's Pizza Shack (don't let the name fool you, it is a full service restaurant), it is right over the bridge on Sunrise (to the east) of the Doubletree Galleria (we stayed there and ate at F&V's). royalcruz Posted October 28, 2016 #13 Share Posted October 28, 2016 Have you ever heard of http://www.ilmulinofl.com/To me this is one of the best in Ft. Lauderdale. Il Mulino is a good neighborhood restaurant for a casual meal. They have great garlic rolls. The food is very basic though.... Bravo is close to Embassy Suites and is very similar. RNCheryl Posted October 29, 2016 #14 Share Posted October 29, 2016 We have eaten at Casa d'Angelo on special occasions and have really enjoyed it. The latest hot spot on Las Olas Blvd is Louie Bossi. We are eating there tomorrow night, took 2 weeks to get a reservation. Outstanding reviews, all pasta homemade. http://www.louiebossi.com/ Another fabulous place is Cafe Martorano, real old school New Jersey/Italian. Just a spot in a strip mall, but you won't forget the food. http://www.cafemartorano.com/
