Favorite Part of a Cruise?

I have to ask this as I gt asked this question all the time.

For my wife and i its actually the showers. We live in a Motorhome and travel the country during the summer and cruise during the winter. In our RV at campgrounds you find it is very limited water pressure. Thus we love to cruise just for the water pressure on the ship. We find we take 2 or 3 showers a day just because of the pressure. This is why its so critical for my wife and I to get twice a day service just for the towels.

We don't even get off the ship at most ports. You can only see Cozumel and Grand Cayman so many times. We don't even get off in Aruba as we lived there for 3 years. there is nothing new to see there either.

Meeting people, especially in the hot tub (those convos always seem to be most entertaining)

And the decadence to literally do whatever you want, whenever you want , without much effort.

I also LOVE boarding the ship for the first time, something about that feels amazing!

For me it is meeting new people and making friends .

On every cruise i have been on I have gotten into conversation with a total stranger and have found something in common .It could be that we went to the same school ,lived in the same community ,knew the same people and on one cruise a person that I was related to,a very distant cousin.

I love the planning and looking for new thing to do in port. I love the first time I walk on the ship. I love not having to cook. I love the shows. I love the casino. I love watching the water. BUT the thing I love most is spending uninterrupted time with my hubby.

I take care of my disabled parents and going on a cruise is a welcome vacation. It is a time for me, DH and DS and no one else.

Don't get me wrong but i just need a break and time for US. I like having someone else cook, clean, entertain and "drive" for me.

We are going on one for Thanksgiving and am counting down the days :)

Being at sea, not having to think about getting groceries or making meals, and interacting with many new people.

I can't help wondering about OP's favorite: SHOWERS!!!! If showers are that unsatisfying at home, it would make sense to take one less cruise - and spend the money on a local health club, gym or YMCA. - so he could get decent showers near home.
