We are going to be staying on the ship while everyone tenders into Belize.

What types of activities can we expect during a port day? This will be our first time staying on the ship.

Trivia, drinking, Trivia, drinking, and trivia and drinking!:)

The pools and hot tubs will be open. I believe they may have some trivia games but not as much going on as a sea day.

It's very peaceful.

My husband and I stay on the ship often when in port.

Happy Sailing!

About the only activity you can't pursue while in port is gambling in the casino.

The ship's store are normally closed while in port too.

What we have done is sat by the Lido Deck pool at the tables. One of the bar waiters that we had seen on our previous cruise was having a slow day and stopped and talked with us for quite a while. He was so good that he even remembered our names from the previous cruise. We got to know quite a bit about him and ship life.

There are limited planned activities and the casino & shops will be closed.

The pools will be open and there are specials at the spa and some bars will be open.

Often in tender ports, quite a few stay on the ship for various reasons and some return to the ship early.

You won't be totally alone but it will be less crowded. Enjoy! :)

Not many activities but we love to relax by the pool and have no lines any where.

My gfs and I was just in Belize three weeks ago. I cant imagine staying on the ship. We heard a few rumors from other passengers and ship employees about the port. However, we wanted to form our own opinion and didnt witness any signs of danger. Cozumel and Belize were two of our favorite ports. Im sure u will find something enjoyable to do while on the ship. Just thought i'd share my experience.....

This is the BEST reason to stay on the ship! I love this

It's a cheesy plastic ship trophy you get as a prize for games on the ship.

YES! The husband and I are going on our first cruise in June. We are completely cheesy people. We must win one of these!

In Belize DH waited until the crowds for the tender were gone then meandered down and tendered in to town. He had a beer at the first bar he encountered and returned to the ship - being able to say he'd "been to Belize". :D

This is what he did while I went on a tour he wasn't feeling up to going on. After 3 days in bed eating room service in the cabin he was almost over a respiratory mess contracted while on the cruise and at least he got the chance to plant his feet in Belize, no matter how temporary.:D
