Rare elmsliebev Posted November 21, 2016 #28 Share Posted November 21, 2016 Does anyone have ideas for formal night Safari theme on QM2 ? Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app it might be possible to get some sort of brightly coloured "jungle print" dress. I have a maxi dress one which I've used for summer weather cruises but usually on an informal night. I'd leave the pith helmet at home though

marzookah Posted November 23, 2016 #30 Share Posted November 23, 2016 I have bought too many long dresses and can't choose which to take so I am taking them all. Blow it! We never usually get chance to dress up so I am going for it!

Rare LadyL1 Posted November 23, 2016 #33 Share Posted November 23, 2016 Southampton to NYC on 15th December 😊Can't blinkin wait! Crossings are more formal (generally) than cruises so you should have a wonderful time dressing up! it is also a delight to see all the Christmas decorations, so make sure you have plenty of storage space for all those photos you will be taking. Hope you and your family enjoy the trip.... it can become addictive.😁

Eleteace Posted November 23, 2016 #35 Share Posted November 23, 2016 A formal safari night!!! Now I've heard it all :') For a week long cruise I took 3 formal long maxi dresses and a couple of shorter ones, I have photos of what I wore here if anybody would like a look: http://cruisingisntjustforoldpeople.co.uk/2016/11/08/cunard-dress-code-what-to-wear/ I generally decided that I had to look like I was going to a wedding or a prom... never been to a safari themed wedding though!!! Ha ha. Have a lot of fun :) Sent from my iPhone using Forums
cruisen13 Posted November 24, 2016 #36 Share Posted November 24, 2016 Thanks for sharing your dress experience. I'm sailing from Cape Town to Fremantle 16 nights so that's why one night is safari themed. Think it going to be easier to get a dress made . ToadOfToadHall Posted November 24, 2016 #37 Share Posted November 24, 2016 d. Think it going to be easier to get a dress made. Really ? You do know that no one actually bothers with the theme nights ?
