Favourite ship in the NCL fleet?

I am going to take a different approach with my answer.

After many cruises on most of the NCL ships I can say that while they are all special to me what separates one ship from another is the crew.

I now find myself booking cruises on NCL because it will mean we can again met up with our favorite Concierge, Butler or other service members.

They are to me what makes a ship special.

You can't beat the Gem. It's a massive ship, with a small ship feel.

It's so elegantly designed. It's the last class of ship NCL built that wasn't so desperately trying to wring every penny out of every square foot possible - hence lovely spaces like the Spinaker Lounge (which would today be made suites) or the Great Outdoors.

The Great Outdoors is such a perfect feature. Adds a real sense of elegance to being on the ship. Aside from peak breakfast hours it's never crowded. I also think the Gem has a lovely old school promenade deck, and I love how it goes continuously all the way around the ship.

The casino is tucked far out of the way. Easy to find if you want it, but nearly impossible to bump into if you don't. The buffet is smartly designed (not just one long line like the BA ships), and the entire sundeck near the bow is open to all passengers (unlike the BA where half is blocked off for Haven guests).

For us the favorite ship switched from the GEM (13 times) to the BREAKAWAY (7 sailings so far) after our first sailing on the BREAKAWAY.......amazing crew, love the size of the ship and all the activities it has to offer. Haven experience on the Breakaway puts it over the top for us...We'll be back in the Haven on the Breakaway for a couple sailings next month, and can't wait to be in our home away from home again. :)

Love sailing out of NY without having to fly during the Winter months.

Escape.

But, it's the only NCL ship I have sailed.

Great food. All the speciality places were strong. Very friendly staff.

Have to agree...did 6 days on her over the summer, will be back for round 2 for 7 days in January. If my GF likes it as much as I do, it could be my first time on a ship 3 times come next summer to check out Harvest Caye.

NCL Spirit was my favorite ship I would love to sail her again but she is going into dry dock And will probably have all the best of her removed like the other small ships in NCL. She was brought back to th us for a short time. I regret not being able to sail her then.

Corner aft PH on the Sun, my fave ship.

BTW, my fave cruise was in that suite. South America with excursion to Antarctica.

Agreed. 9076 can't be beat. Great room and the balcony is enormous...

Although we just got off the Jewel a few weeks ago and I did like that ship better than the Sun.

. 9076 on the Sun is a great cabin. Was in it a few years ago. Balcony was incredible. I agree that the Jewel class is better and I think they have the best design in the fleet.

Always loved the Wind, but she's no longer with us. The Jewel would be my next choice. We love ships with lots of spots for reading with a view of the sea. That's one of the many reasons that the Epic remains the only ship we've ever sailed on that I would never set foot on again.
