CMU Posted November 5, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2005 This may sound like a dumb question, but how do you handle small groups (less than 20 people) and airfare? Everytime we do a group thing, it turns into a big hassle because as you book the airfare -- prices go up. Therefore the last couple booking ends up with much higher price then the first couple. Do you have 1 person pay for everyone and everyone pays that person? That seems like a big hassle to try and collect everyones money.
Rare LHT28 Posted November 5, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2005 Contact the airline's group bookings dept or get your TA to do it. You may get a discounted fare or at least the same fare depending on the departure point.
Rare finoky Posted November 14, 2005 #3 Share Posted November 14, 2005 I just booked our airfare today for a group of 13. As it turned out we were using three different credit cards. One would have 3, one would have 2, and the last one would be for the other 8 people. I used my pc, my daughter's pc, and my laptop all at the same time. Brought up each search on Air Tran's site, typed in the info, and hit the buy button all at once. Each one went through. We got it for $185/rt. The same flights are now $341/rt. I felt like the guy that dropped a wad on a horse and made the odds go down to 1-9.
