Two Wheels Only Posted November 14, 2016 #26 Share Posted November 14, 2016 Is it a particular shade of red? What about the lifeboats that are red? Seat cushions are easy to change but other stuff.....(signs, carpets, waterslides, etc.)?????
Rt19561 Posted November 15, 2016 #27 Share Posted November 15, 2016 Maybe they can use the money they save on red paint to reduce the cost of their shore excursions. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare sprint180 Posted November 15, 2016 #28 Share Posted November 15, 2016 I HATE red. And besides for me, I go on a cruise to relax. Red is not a relaxing color. I can't say that too loud though. Go Huskers
Cruiser Bruiser Posted November 19, 2016 #29 Share Posted November 19, 2016 We were told that the CEO of NCL doesn't want colour red in any of the NCL ships! Jade presently has a LOT of red décor ... this will disappear for sure during the March 2017 dry dock. One morning last week I was up early (we had 4 consecutive 25 hour days!) I went all over the ship taking pictures - pre-dry dock - so will keep them until someone else submits the post-dry dock pics and I'll insert the before ones. I'm not questioning that you were told the above, but I think newly renovated Dawn is likely a good representation of FDR's aesthetic. The new Cellars Wine Bar on Dawn (which was installed instead of Five O'Clock Somewhere, like on Star) is mostly RED. So I'm prepared to now declare that this is likely just an "urban legend." I thought the new CEO ain't FDR .... ;) It was a cruise staff we chatted with a week ago.
karoo Posted November 20, 2016 #31 Share Posted November 20, 2016 Personally I like happy colors when I cruise. Boring beige is ok to live with, but not on vacation. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
