Marriott North ?

Marriott Ft. Lauderdale North on Andrews Ave. How far is this hotel from Port Everglades, please, and possible taxi fare? I see a favorable rate for my Feb. cruise. Well, as compared to other hotel rates!

That hotel is 11-12 miles north of FLL or Port Everglades via I-95. A good half hour drive. Taxi Fare Finder site has fare ranging anywhere from $45 to $70 each way depending on traffic. Unless the rate is more than $120-140 lower than a comparable hotel either on SE 17 St or even the I-95/Stirling Rd interchange (which has nine hotels, all with free or low cost airport and cruiseport shuttles) you are wasting time and transportation cost staying so far away from the port.

The hotel is approximately 15 miles from Port Everglades, so expect at least a 30 minute drive with traffic (depending on the day of the week you are sailing). Taxi is approximately $45+.

Thanks, I was afraid of that. Guess I'll stick with what I have at an outrageous price, but in the 17th st. area.
