Thank you for your reply. now, if I may, one more question. Did you keep your luggage at the port on arrival, or give it to the porters?
DESTINATIONCRUISER Posted November 22, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 22, 2016 Yes you keep your luggage as you go to Star check in. We got out of our taxi and told the porters we where star and they alerted an individual that took all our luggage and said follow me. We went directly to star check in bypassing the very long line outside. At check in the luggage was handed off to a ship porter who took our luggage to our suite. Our luggage beat us to our suite. HMK8273 Posted November 22, 2016 #5 Share Posted November 22, 2016 Ditto on Anthem - just tell them you are Star Class and everything worked great, even the guy directing traffic to get to the drop off point. Guy was being cute and snarkey when he directed me to one place and I said, "sorry, we are star class, we go to drop off point 6" - his reply "well, you didn't tell me that" - not rude, trying to be funny, we got a chuckle out of it - don't be afraid to speak up - the port folks know what to do. We had a porter taking our luggage on the ship before we met our genie - just a timing thing on embarkation day. Best part of the luggage thing - you walk off with your luggage on debarkation. We went straight through the line to customs escorted by our genie and they got a porter for us to the terminal, then from terminal to the parking garage at Cape Liberty. If you have Katya on Anthem - you will love her - we certainly did. She is on 7 weeks vacation starting this week.

Rare A&L_Ont Posted November 22, 2016 #7 Share Posted November 22, 2016 We sailed Star Class in August on Allure and had Frankie. It was a great experience and for us he was a great guy. When we sailed in August we took our luggage into the security/check-in area and a porter there took it from us when we were with our genie. We sailed on Harmony November 12th and I noticed what appears to be a new luggage drop off for Star Class. These flags were right beside some luggage carts away from the rest of the normal carts. I didn't hear/read about this new "drop zone" for Star Class but I'm not sure why else they would have flags displayed for no reason. crodri35 Posted November 22, 2016 #8 Share Posted November 22, 2016 Was on the Allure last week and had Susan as our Genie - she was fantastic. The luggage was a little confusing in that there was only one porter there to take Star Class members luggage. We had to wait about 25 minutes at the curb at the flag shown above until the porter came back to get us. They are working on this - there might have been a little hiccup in that boarding was delayed due to the ship having to be cleaned for norovirus from the previous week. Maybe everyone showed up at the same time as opposed to staggered??? Nonetheless, it was fine and the luggage was at the room before we got there. There's been much back and forth on here about what is or is not included - I believe we tried everything and the only thing that isn't included are the retail items at Starbucks (cake, juice etc). Was the coffee included? The rest doesn't really matter to me. :D Sounds like there is some growing pains regarding the luggage drop off which is unfortunate. Rare A&L_Ont Posted November 22, 2016 #13 Share Posted November 22, 2016 (edited) What, if a newbie may be so bold as to ask is a "Genie" and "Star Class"?:o Royal Caribbean had three different levels of suite categories or as they call it Royal Suite Class. From lowest to highest it goes from Sea, Sky and Star. The Star Class cabin has a Genie which helps you during your cruise. Different perks come with the different classes. Here is a link to RC description of their Royal Suite Class. http://www.royalcaribbean.com/royalsuiteclass I hope this helps you out. TrojanUSC Posted November 23, 2016 #14 Share Posted November 23, 2016 I've had Susan on Allure and she was fantastic. Leticia on Oasis was fabulous, too. Smitha on Oasis was the one weak link. She seemed to do the job, but didn't put much thought into planning (i.e. when I told her we like dinners a bit later, she booked them all for 6pm or when she confirmed a 7pm dinner when we had the Flowrider reserved from 6:30-7:30, which she had booked herself). Overall, the program is great and makes things pretty flawless. It's also great to have one point of contact. Having them physically go to reserve seats for you at the theaters is wonderful or to be able to accommodate last-minute requests.
