Aware of port-side smoking from deck 8 Silhouette balcony?

Lots of threads on smoking but I was curious about our specific situation.

We are in a port cabin on deck 8 a few cabins back from the main elevators.

Is there much chance we would be aware of the port-side smoking wafting up from deck 5?

I think if you are on the hump or forward of it you shouldn't have a problem.

You are 3 floors up with a sea breeze.

The deck 5 smoking areas, as far as I know (though I wouldn't swear to it), are port side aft- close to the exit from the restaurants, and port side forward- close to the theater exit.

Cheers, h.

We have stayed mid ship on deck 9 and 8 and have yet to experience a problem. We are booked on deck 7 for our next cruise.

There was a couple on our last cruise who were in the same deck 6 cabin for almost 40 days b2b2b. A good indicator there was no issue even there.

We were recently port side on the forward slant of the hump on deck 8 on Reflection (above the smoking area). Very occasionally, only when standing at the rail, there was a hint of a smell of smoke - nothing more and nothing to cause problems (and I really don't like the smell of smoke). You should be fine :)
