KBCruiseLover Posted November 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2016 (edited) Is it possible for my husband to carry his own bottle of steak sauce on board? He ends up getting flat iron steak at least half of the nights at dinner. He's never been able to get Heinz 57, only A1 Steak Sauce, which he doesn't like. The waiters on several ships have told him that Carnival doesn't have a contract with Heinz so they can't serve it. If yes, would it need to be in his carry-on or checked luggage? KBCruiseLover Posted November 25, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted November 25, 2016 I really don't know.....we don't usually use any on the ship. That's a good question.
SadieN Posted November 25, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 25, 2016 No problem. It's interesting to see what Paz bring from home. Several nights on our last cruise pax set their table with (electric) candles. Can bring in carry on if it's under 3oz when flying. No limit otherwise. USNUZULOOSE Posted November 25, 2016 #5 Share Posted November 25, 2016 It is a food item. I don't know if they consider it under there rules as no bottles. You could bring it as long as it sealed and put it in your carry on so you can let them know. And are you okay with them taking it away if they say no. But if you have any left over I don't think you can take it off when you leave. I would try.

SuiteTraveler Posted November 25, 2016 #12 Share Posted November 25, 2016 You can buy Heinz 57 in individual packets for easy travel: https://www.amazon.com/Heinz-Traditional-Steak-Individual-Packets/dp/B01G4B2C4A In a pinch it is easy to make your own 'Heinz 57 alike' sauce from ingredients found on all ships: 1 packet ketchup 1 1/4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 1/2 packet yellow mustard juice squeezed from 1 lemon wedge 1 drop hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco®)
cincicruisers Posted November 25, 2016 #13 Share Posted November 25, 2016 I always bring some Cracker Barrel syrup with me. They have small bottles that take no room in bag. I really don't like the syrup onboard. I also bring some bar snack mix(nuts, cracker, ect). When out at night drinking it's nice to have some munchie snacks.
