Rare AllisonJames Posted November 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 27, 2016 Hello experts -- So SS seems to be a step up from Azamara (we have cruised both) and looking at shorter cruises SS usually prices out much higher. However in comparing 2018 World Cruise fares in the veranda suite category (and SS is a much larger stateroom in this category) I calculate the SS per diem rate for 2 to be about 1,192 U.S and Azamara to be about 1,251 based on the website fares. And SS includes a 4,000 onboard credit. Am I missing something? We really like Azamara but it seems odd that it is pricing out more than SS, especially when SS is more inclusive (all alcoholic beverages included and generally higher quality. Can this be correct? Rare Keith1010 Posted November 27, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 27, 2016 AllisonJames, are you looking at a full World Cruise on Silversea or a segment? And which voyage are you looking at on Azamara? Keith

Herman The Cat Posted November 28, 2016 #5 Share Posted November 28, 2016 If you're looking at the 2018 cruises, they are different lengths. Not sure if your calculation/denominator is based on the same number of days or different length. Can't tell what the actual cost is from a quick look at the Azamara website as their fare doesn't include taxes or port charges.
