dee2673 Posted December 1, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2016 Morning, all. I was wondering if HAL sends an e-mail with what time we should embark as I read somewhere. We are leaving from San Diego Dec 10th. After reading alll the threads about this, I was thinking we'd arrive a little later, have a nice lunch elsewhere. We are in Neptune Suite. In Seattle last year, we were onboard within 20 minutes of arrival, about 11:30 am. That would be ideal, as we have shore excursions we'd like to book asap, using our OBC. Just trying to make the process as stress free as possible.

catl331 Posted December 1, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 1, 2016 Despite what it says on your docs (probably 1:00), boarding starts around 11:30 worldwide - unless there is a need for deep cleaning after a Norovirus outbreak, or Coast Guard inspections. Krazy Kruizers Posted December 1, 2016 #4 Share Posted December 1, 2016 We always try to get to the cruise terminal by 10:30 - 10:45. That way we can get through security and checked in. HAL tries to start boarding at 11:30. HAL also tries to have all cabins ready by 11:30 so that you can drop off your carry-ons and any other items that you don't want to lug around. Being in a Neptune Suite -- you will be among the first on the ship. Lunch in the dining room is from Noon until 1:30.
