Why is there such an issue with Navigator embarkation in Miami?

That is great news, Biker, that you had no issues boarding!

We are on the March 3, 2017 Navigator sailing to the southern Caribbean. One of the sites showing the ships in port that day, shows 5 ships. http://ports.cruisett.com/schedule/United_States_Of_America/426-Miami_Florida/March_2017/

I hope with five ships in port, that we might avoid the tent. If not, we will just have to deal with it. At least we know in advance that this can happen.

It seems like all the port sites have forgotten about the Empress - she is there through late April.

Also not shown was an Oceania ship that was in port on Tuesday when we embarked, though it was not at the string of main terminals, it was across the port at some other terminal.

The ship arrived real early (5:30AM) today (maybe because of the thick fog at 7AM) but was not able to start debarkation till about 7:15 AM.

Went through immigration/customs at 7:25 AM and was at the car in the parking garage at 7:30 AM.

Oh, all this was at Terminal G today.

The other site, http://www.cruisetimetables.com/frommiamiflorida-03mar2017.html, shows 6 ships in port. The same ships are shown, except for the Norwegian Pearl. I went to NCL's site and looked at cruises for the Norwegian Pearl. This ship is scheduled for a 14 day cruise to the Panama Canal, leaving Miami on February 18 and arriving in LA on March 5. No cruise is shown for the Pearl for a Western Caribbean cruise leaving March 3.

I checked NCL's site again for the NCL Pearl on a 14 day Panama Canal cruise, arriving in LA on March 5, and this time did not find this cruise. I searched all the ways possible. I found instead, the Pearl on a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise, leaving from Miami on March 3, 2017, the day we sail on the Navigator.

This means the ship count is back to 6 ships in port. Not good news if the Navigator always gets the tent. Oh well.
