FLL to Hampton Mary Brickell

Just double checking. Booked our SW flights today for our cruise in May. We fly into FLL and have Hampton Mary Brickell booked for the night before our cruise. We arrive at 1:40 pm. I saw Jiffy Jeff was recommended and for transfer he'd be $60 as long as prior to 3pm. Return from POM to FLL is $60 also. We are party of 4 adults. We've never used Uber but know to use for hotel to port transfer.

 

Question is Jiffy Jeff the best option or is Uber better? Using fare estimate looks like Uber might be more but since no experience I wanted to know for sure.

How many bags do you have? An Uberx will be cheap if you don't mind all getting into the car that seats 4. An UrberXl will be more expensive in the $60+ range. Of course those prices are for all four people, with no tip, as Uber does not allow tipping.

The shared shuttles will charge $15-20 per person for your route. We used QLS last year and it was efficient and easy. Prebooked online. We made just one other stop to drop off fellow riders.

For 4 people, the larger UberXL will run approximately the same. But you know there will be no other stops. DON'T order a regular size uber. Not with luggage.

4 passengers plus bags - especially if any of you pack like my wife :o - will be a VERY tight squeeze into an UberX.

 

Your shuttle quote is on the money, as long as your flight is not delayed. A mini-van/SUV taxi will cost about $75-80, which is similar to what UberXL will run.

 

For a bit more you might explore private car/limo service - Go Airport and Larry's Limos are often suggested on this board.

Jiffy Jeff is fantastic. Last cruise our daughter flew into FLL and we went to the exact hotel you are staying in. He was super with everything from booking to pick up. Also, after the cruise he was prompt and very professional. We will definitely use him again.

 

Also, the Hampton Brickell is fantastic!!
