I left out traveling solo so dont want to feel out of place We've been to a few. They're generally low key and nice way to meet people - and put faces to the names you know from CruiseCritic. If nothing else, you'll have a few new people to say hello to around the ship.
Alberta Quilter Posted December 9, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) Go! You won't be out of place at all. As POA said, it's a nice way to put faces to CC handles. And you might meet up with other people with similar interests who want a buddy to do things with on the cruise. (And, you can see who you want to avoid, too, if you aren't impressed with their postings on the roll call. I've run into that situation, too.) Rare kazu Posted December 9, 2016 #4 Share Posted December 9, 2016 Definitely go. Great opportunity as a solo to meet other like minded people and put some faces to names. :).
Krazy Kruizers Posted December 9, 2016 #5 Share Posted December 9, 2016 Yes, the person who organizes the meet & greets like to have the first one on the first or second day of the cruise. This way people can meet others and maybe plan to get together for cocktails, dinner, etc. As a solo cruiser -- you should go.
Rare Scrapnana Posted December 9, 2016 #6 Share Posted December 9, 2016 I travel solo and enjoy going to the meet and greets because I feel like I already know some of the people from the roll call. It's nice to have some familiar faces as you go around the ship. Definitely go - it does not oblige you to do anything else if you don't want to.
