Concierge pre-boarding lounge

There may be a pre-boarding lounge but we have never seen it. A separate line for check-in and a lounge while waiting to disembark we have seen.

We normally arrive between 12 & 1 so after check-in we get on the ship, no need for a lounge.

There is lunch in the MDR on embarkation day for those in CC cabins; believe it is from 12-1:30.

We've been upgraded (feeling lucky about that) and have read about the concierge pre-boarding lounge. Can anyone tell me anything about It?

Is it actually a thing?

It depends on your upgrade.

Are you in a full suite? If you are, there is a separate check-in, you receive a special check-in pack and you are taken to Michael's Club.

We hadn't twigged that you need to keep the special boarding pack in the faces of the crew ----they are trained to see it and then react accordingly.

Which cruise are you on?

We have experienced the Concierge and above pre-boarding lounge in Miami. You check-in first and then you are directed to a roped off area in the terminal with seats. When the ship was cleared for embarkation, everyone in the lounge was escorted to the boarding ramp and we boarded first. Everyone not in the lounge had to stand in line and wait for 30 or 45 minutes and boarded after the lounge lizards. There were no refreshments in the 'lounge', just seats. It was am appreciated perk for those who arrived early.
