Final Payment Scheduled?

My final payment is due tomorrow on a cruise I booked with Carnival back in September. I put about half down and owe the rest. When I logged in tonight, I read the following:

 

Balance due by: Dec 14, 2016

Final payment has already been scheduled

So does that mean that they will automatically deduct the amount from my credit card? Or do I need to actually make the payment tomorrow? I'm feeling kind of dumb right now!

They automatically took ours using the credit card we gave them at time of deposit. It was only a few weeks apart so I don't know if that makes a difference.

Mine says that because I put a credit card on file for them to charge. Do you remember if you did that?

They usually charge the card you used to pay initially unless you call them to pay the remainder with another one.

You can always call them and make sure. :) I would not want to take the chance of it cancelling!

Carnival has never charged my card automatically.

We pay the deposit on line and then go back and make the final payment on line.

I'd definitely call them!

CALL...I would never take the chance that it was left up to you but I am a control freak about things like that. I never assume it is just done, I would call and make sure it is done.

Thanks – my question was also answered this morning when I got an alert that the balance has been charged to my credit card. All is good. Thanks again for your responses!

We have always set up Auto Pay via our credit card when we book with our PVP and as the previous poster said, we get an e-mail from Carnival advising that the payment has been made.

 

(Word of caution -- if something happens and your credit card is replaced with a new one, update your info on-line or through your PVP.)

That is why is good to pay a few days ahead of time so that you can pay with another card if you wish.
