Hi Folks!

Will be on NCL JADE, Dec. 26-Jan.3rd....

NCL changed our itinerary (FYI to those of you on this cruise and were not notified of the change!) which has us now being in Cozumel on New Year's Day which is also a Sunday.

My question is will the shops be open that day or is everything basically closed due to either the holiday or it being a Sunday.

The answer will determine what we will be doing that day.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Happy Cruising!

We are on the Dream this year and will be there the same day. On a previous cruise, we found just about all shops closed on Jan 1st. Very little was open even at the port (I think that was Barbados). That's the one stop I've not picked something to do yet. Still trying to figure out an option.

Paradise Beach is normally open on a Sunday. You might want to email and check for New Years day. Otherwise I would suggest trying for a day pass to a resort hotel through one of the broker companies or arranging for a driver to take you on a tour to east side (either from the pier or pre-arrange through ToursPlaza)- I don't know if the bars there will open, but the driver should know what is open and you could at least take a cooler and picnic if all else fails.
