Vegcurry Posted December 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 23, 2016 I have an open future cruise certificate that's assigned to a Travel Agent. Can I use it with a different Travel Agent or do I have to stay with the original? Many thanks
Missymo Posted December 23, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 23, 2016 (edited) Just went through that very same thing with RCCL. I'll make it simple for you but it was a bit stressful. My new cruise travel agent had to call RCCl and the cruise line had to contact the old travel agent to get permission for me to use. When permission is obtained , RCCl then emailed me a release and I sent it to my new travel agent. This took about 4 or 5 days of constant emailing back and forth. It was a bit stressful. If you do it in the future don't give travel agent info if your not sure if you'll use them. Vegcurry Posted December 23, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted December 23, 2016 Thanks it was the first one I got and didn't realise what it meant!
MrsKC08 Posted December 23, 2016 #4 Share Posted December 23, 2016 I've done this in the past. All I had to do was fill out a form and fax it into the Royal Caribbean (your TA or someone with Royal Caribbean can get you the form). You put your booking number that is on your certificate and the two agent's contact information and it will be done. Normally takes a few days, but not a big deal at all. 39august Posted December 23, 2016 #5 Share Posted December 23, 2016 Be aware that the first TA may refuse to release it or charge you for a cancellation.
