Viking Air

We booked and paid in full for our cruise and air in August 2016, any idea when Viking will ticket us so we could choose our seats. We are flying Air France from Chicago to Paris on April 1, 2017.

Hey cozzello, not that we are using Viking Air, but using Scenic Air, flying from Houston to Paris September of 2017 and already have flight tickets and seating assignments. Doing Spectacular South of France with Paris and Monte Carlo.. Would have thought that you would of had sometime ago.

If you purchased custom air through Viking, they can do it now since you've fully paid, call them back and request them to do so. If you accepted the included air without customizing, they can ticket up to 30 days before the flight. Keep in mind that some foreign carriers do not allow you to chose seats until check in, some allow you to chose seats in advance with a small seat selection fee, some allow simple seat selection - all a bit different.

Just flew Air France for a Viking cruise. AF does not allow you to select seats until 30 hours before departure unless you pay them at least $23 pp per segment.Depending on the seat selected, the fee could be more. Our flights changed 3 times before finally ticketed about 30 or 60 days before the cruise. Leaving the US we did pay the fee for our transatlantic segment because I wanted an aisle seat. All the flights were full.

Good question, we were wondering the same thing. We will be returning from Paris on Air France the same day you arrive. What ship you traveling on?

We're going at the end of March and received our flight schedule mid-December (3 months in advance). I went to the airlines page directly and booked our seats and added our frequent traveler numbers. No problem.

We will be traveling on two different ships for France's Finest trip, the Rinda and the Delling. We did pay the extra fifty dollars for non-stop flights and got a deal...from Viking for only paying $100.00 for our flights.

You can call Viking (or have your TA call them if you used a TA) and request that they ticket the flights now and then you can see what your seat options are via the AF website.
