Sailing time, if you please

Just a quick question, can anyone tell me how long is the sail time from Portside Wharf, down the river to the open ocean?? I assume it's not nearly as long as the time from New Orleans to the Gulf, ....

My guess would be about 60 - 75 minutes; longer if the 180 turn is required.

 

Quite an enjoyable sailaway.

 

Firstly from all the apartments at the port, then under the bridge, and even better if there is a ship docked at the grain terminal.

Yes, it's a good hour or more to the mouth of the river and that only takes you into Moreton Bay. The ships then have to cruise north for an hour or two, between the mainland and Moreton Island, before they reach the Coral Sea.

Thank you for your replies. That time is much better than the 7-8 hour ride down the mississippi from New Orleans.

 

this trip is so close, I'm very excited to be finally getting to visit Australia!! :D
