Rare LewiLewi Posted December 31, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 31, 2016 Is it possible to get a reclining lounge chair on a regular balcony? Would a steward do it for you and would it fit? If it was for back issues, would Cunard be helpful?

Ray66 Posted December 31, 2016 #4 Share Posted December 31, 2016 There would only be room I think if you moved out the other chair and the table and lay it acrossways. But I think there would be room on some of the corner balconies on the QE.
SPacificbound Posted January 1, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 1, 2017 The balconies we have had were tiny, no room for a reclining chair.

I only have a photograph of part of the balcony on deck 8 of QE, that looks as if you could probably fit one as Ray describes or diagonally. The balconies we have had were tiny, no room for a reclining chair. On which ship/deck ? It's probably worth asking Cunard in advance, particularly if it's for a medical reason. Salacia Posted January 2, 2017 #9 Share Posted January 2, 2017 (edited) Queen Mary 2 deck 11. different cabins, tiny balconies. True story... Late one night on our Nov/Dec QM2 cruise, we left the casino and took the elevator back to Deck 11. Another elevator arrived almost simultaneously , and the one occupant emerged, walking to his cabin just ahead of us. He was carrying a teak deck chair - the kind we see on Deck 7. No cushions. He opened his door and with some difficulty, brought the deck chair into his balcony cabin. Now I admit I should have more on my mind than wondering what that was all about, but it is one of the more curious things I have seen on board QM2 :) Happy seating and happy sailing in the New Year! Cheers, Salacia Edited January 2, 2017 by Salacia
oceansandseas Posted January 4, 2017 #10 Share Posted January 4, 2017 --- I was told NO when I was on Queen Victoria last year. My husband and I were to be on the cruise, but he had to cancel at the last minute. I was solo passenger and asked for this. It was for 26 days that I could have enjoyed the chaise. There was lots of room if the 2 regular chairs were removed. However, I was told NO. They might do it for health reasons though. -.-.-.
