Not sure what your sailing/itinerary is, but I saw cruise compasses for the Jewel from December and they had formal nights on Day 2 and Day 6, on the 5 port day intensive sailing.

Did most people dress up?

I have been on the Jewel twice, once in Europe/Baltic and once in Canada and New England. Both times I would say most people dressed up, us included. I like to dress up on formal nights even when in the Caribbean where it seemed not as many people did. Each to their own though I say 😀

Doesn't matter HOW many "dress up"...on formal night, you cannot be "over-dressed"! Do your thing!
