Cozumel info needed, PLEASE

If anyone has been to Cozumel recently can you tell me if they still have a bunch of Jeeps right outside the port that you can rent. Have done it 2x's in the past but can not get any real info if they are still right there. Thanks!:confused:

We were there yesterday on the Magic, yes, tons of transportation with a pricing board, so no surprises. We had a short stay, 7-3, so did walked around the village and went back to the ship, a very pleasant day

Yes there will jeeps and mopeds available along the street to rent. Should have no problem.

Are the Jeep rentals CASH ONLY or will they take a credit card?

 

I ask only because we were surprised in December when we were told that the taxi fares were CASH ONLY and we had assumed we would be able to use a credit card like we did in Grand Cayman and have at other places on other vacas. (Not blaming anyone else, I simply had not researched it ... I'll know better 'next time')

when we rented about 3-4 years ago it was with credit card. Actually if I remember correctly you had to put up a credit card to rent one.

We rented a beach car in December from one of the local places. They took credit cards (needed one for the damage deposit) but we found they would charge the rate in $U.S.. If you paid cash in Pesos the exchange rate was better.

We rented in Cozumel 3 years ago. We paid with CC and it was converted to US$.
