Kittybork Posted January 18, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2017 The dining room is often cool. She'll be fine.
N2Mischief Posted January 18, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2017 It probably depends on the ship and I havent sailed on the Conquest, but on other ships I often find it chilly in the dining room.
cb at sea Posted January 18, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 18, 2017 I'd be too hot...if she's cold-blooded, and doesn't have hot flashes, she'll be fine!
lukydog Posted January 18, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 18, 2017 Is she normally hot blooded, cold blooded? Personally, I get chilly inside the ship because of the air conditioning so long sleeves would be perfect in the dining room. I usually wear a hoodie everywhere inside but I tend to be cold blooded. Doggielover68 Posted January 18, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 18, 2017 I am usually chilly in the dining room so she should be fine. I wear a sweater most nights Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
sjcruiser Posted January 18, 2017 #8 Share Posted January 18, 2017 The dining room can be chilly at night even for me, and I like the cold. I find a long sleeves shirt ok, but when I add a jacket, I start sweating. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
simplelife Posted January 18, 2017 #9 Share Posted January 18, 2017 We're just off Conquest and I found the Dining room to be cold. I was glad I had a wrap Sent from my iPad using Forums
jamscckmc Posted January 18, 2017 #10 Share Posted January 18, 2017 I've never been hot in any MDR. I always wear a dressy sweater with my dresses on elegant night so I can't imagine sleeves of the same material as her dress being too hot. cemebro Posted January 18, 2017 #13 Share Posted January 18, 2017 My husband wears a suit on elegant nights. A long sleeve dress shouldn't be any hotter that that.

dolphin2012 Posted January 18, 2017 #15 Share Posted January 18, 2017 She should be fine. especially if she goes to the shows after dinner. It s always cold in there. I always bring a little jacket and I'm very hot blooded...

deborahjo Posted January 18, 2017 #17 Share Posted January 18, 2017 Should be ok. I always wear a sweater or a Shaw in the dining room. I freeze Sent from my iPhone using Forums
BlondieB Posted January 18, 2017 #18 Share Posted January 18, 2017 I've always been comfortable with sleeves in the dining room. Now, the caveat to that is, should you arrive at dinner service before the doors open and have to wait with everyone crammed out in the lobby area, you'll sweat like a wildebeest.

We are going on 8 day eastern on the conquest in mid February. What say you? Thanks! Inside of the ship is air conditioned. Many men wear jackets on the dress-up nights and they are comfortable. Personally, I'd have been cold in the MDR and show room with no sleeves.
Cushing985 Posted January 18, 2017 #21 Share Posted January 18, 2017 Sometimes I wish I had brought a parka! I've never known the MDR to be warm or even comfortable. Snow is always in the forecast.
SadieN Posted January 18, 2017 #22 Share Posted January 18, 2017 I always seem to end up in the area where no air is circulating. Many times I'm shedding my cardigan. It does depend on whether she runs 'hot' or 'cold'.

We are going on 8 day eastern on the conquest in mid February. What say you? Thanks! This is very subjective. How is your wife in other indoor venues? Does she run hot? Cold? On our Conquest cruise, on every one of our cruises in fact, I wore a sleeveless or short sleeve dress/top to the main dining room and was usually comfy to warm. I stopped bringing my sweater because I never wore it. It always stayed on the back of my chair.
beshears Posted January 21, 2017 #24 Share Posted January 21, 2017 I don't have time to read all the the postings, but this is what I do. Normally I do wear some type of dress with a sleeve, as has been stated (unless you are very warm natured), it can get chilly in the dining room. I also take a stole or a nice jacket that would compliment the dress that I was wearing, just to be comfortable while eating.
rjrpar Posted January 21, 2017 #25 Share Posted January 21, 2017 Of course not, the dining room is like any other restaurant. Many people bring sweaters due to to the air conditioning Sent from my iPhone using Forums
