Jewel of the Seas Itinerary Changes?

Is Jewel of the Seas changing their itinerary on some of their upcoming cruises? I just did a mock booking for Feb. 12, 2017 and it looks like they have changed St. Lucia for St. Maarten. Does anyone know if this is a recent change and why they've made the change?

Day 7 Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Return San Juan, Puerto Rico (Return)

When we booked our Feb.12 and 19th cruise back in April of 2016 St.Lucia had already been removed from the itinerary .

We got an email in July for our Feb cruise. Here's what it said about the change. "The port in St. Lucia has not completed the upgrades to the pier necessary for Anthem of the Seas to call there, and will not complete the construction before the ship’s scheduled call.

Because of this, it is necessary to cancel the port call to St. Lucia. We have made alternate arrangements to replace the port and we are excited that Anthem of the Seas will now call to Fort de France, Martinique, on the same day, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. "

According to RCIs website you both are still scheduled to stop at St. Lucia. But then again we all now about RCIs website. You may want to buzz your TA to see if they've heard any different.

Interesting. I was on the ship last week and we went to St. Lucia.

We are on Jewel next week and last night booked an RCCL excursion on St Lucia. Either we're going there or they'll be refunding the $$......:D

I'm wondering if maybe the pier just can't accommodate the Anthem and can still for the Jewel and other ships because of their smaller size? Just my guess anyways.

We're on Feb. 12, booked a year out and is going to St. Maarten instead of St. Lucia. But even when we booked it said St. Maarten.

I noticed that cruises before and after go to St. Lucia. I don't get it.
