Raincoat for spring in the Mediterranean

It really depends on what styles of coats you prefer. These days you can find most any shape in a waterproof (or at least strongly water resistant) fabric.

I tend to like a car coat style for a rain coat. Trenches don't look great on me, and I find many "rain coats" too athletic looking for my travel style (that said, I have an old old LLBean goretex raincoat that's going strong after 10 years - I just don't travel with that so often because it is too casual & athletic for the rest of the clothing I personally wear when I travel)

Something like this would fit my style http://www.sierratradingpost.com/pendleton-national-park-san-juan-rain-coat-waterproof-for-women~p~159fp/?filterString=s~waterproof-coat%2Fwomen~d~5324%2Fwomens-clothing~d~6%2F

Nice packable trench if that's your style http://www.sierratradingpost.com/janska-milano-packable-trench-coat-for-women~p~168tp/?filterString=s~waterproof-coat%2Fwomen~d~5324%2Fwomens-clothing~d~6%2F

Or a short trench http://www.sierratradingpost.com/barbour-ewan-rain-coat-waterproof-reversible-for-women~p~158gt/?filterString=s~waterproof-coat%2Fwomen~d~5324%2Fwomens-clothing~d~6%2F

(I love love love Barbour barn coats but they're too heavy for me for travel - I have pretty specific demands about what I like when I travel:p)

I have a few options of layered coats, as well, but not sure you'll need insulated for the Med in spring....http://www.sierratradingpost.com/columbia-sportswear-zenith-vista-omni-tech-jacket-waterproof-insulated-for-women~p~100mj/?filterString=s~waterproof-coat%2Fwomen~d~5324%2Fwomens-clothing~d~6%2F

Check out Uniglo! They have really cute, lightweight, easily packable clothing at reasonable prices.:D

I checked before I posted my response yesterday - right now they don't have any lightweight water resistant options. Because they're more or less "fast fashion", they don't have year round options online all the time (I'm not anywhere near a store, but when I have been, the out of season options have also been limited....)

Also, for those of us for whom it matters, Uniqlo is a Japanese brand and their clothes run very small. They introduced an XXL last year and those tops still won't fit my boobs.....I'd have to lose 40 lbs again to fit. Ah well :-)
