rackem22 Posted January 25, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2017 HI there; I am a gambler and my wife is adamant that i don't. Is there anyway to get a second account on board in my name only, that i can load with cash, gamble away and then she will never know? thanks
scaaty Posted January 25, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2017 Contact Casino at Sea and you can apply for a line of credit in advance. This can be in just your name. You bring a check with you and at the end of the cruise just pay what you used via the check. I don't know if they will set up one if want to deposit the cash once on board, but call them and ask:)
Casino Comp Chick Posted January 25, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 25, 2017 Bring cash but be warned you may start getting free cruise mailers from CAS afterwards, if my guess is correct, there is a reason your wife doesn't want you gambling.

Just use cash dude.
Moby0215 Posted January 25, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 25, 2017 No need for a second account. The casino uses cash. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

tel2 Posted January 26, 2017 #8 Share Posted January 26, 2017 First, you can have separate accounts just by using two separate credit cards for you and for her. Second, even if you do that, it will not solve your problem because she would be able to look at either account on the TV in your stateroom, and will see the casino withdraws. hawkeyetlse Posted January 26, 2017 #9 Share Posted January 26, 2017 As already said, no need to go through the stateroom account at all. Just gamble cash. This works in the obvious way at the tables: Hand over cash, receive chips. Someone else can explain how to play the slots, but I assume there's a way to play with cash, anonymously (don't sign up for CAS, don't stick your card in the machines). phoenix1181 Posted January 26, 2017 #10 Share Posted January 26, 2017 Yes, cash is good but it will be near impossible to prevent the wife from seeing it if he can't deposit somewhere on day 1!

You don't need to deposit anything. NCL casino is a cash operation.

HI there; I am a gambler and my wife is adamant that i don't. Carrying it around isn't practical nor is putting it in the cabin safe. On night one, take your hundred dollar bills (because they take up so much room in your wallet), go to the casino, feed them into the first slot machine you see, and the hit "collect". Take the payout tix and put it in your now thin wallet. If your wife is shaking you down in the cabin every night, then start dating.

This is almost as bad as the other thread where a poster couldn't understand how a couple could find a discrete way to have sex in a "public" location on the ship and seemed to need it explained to them. As I said above, a real gambler would know how to conduct his affairs without the wife discovering it. Do you really need this explained? My grandson was assigned to my cabin but his spending was on his mothers account and she was in another cabin. Thus I was not able to see what he spent when I checked it on the TV. We did this as an experiment with my daughters permission....His name was there, along with mine, but there was nothing on his account for me to see, so it can work if two different credit cards are used. The OP might have to explain why there are no charges if his wife checks, and knows he purchased something on board.

Thus I was not able to see what he spent when I checked it on the TV. OK, but this only worked because there was more than one cabin in your case. I doubt this solution is available to the OP. Someone would have to be willing to have the OP on their stateroom account, with all charges going to their credit card, which strikes me as a very bad idea…

skeeter195 Posted January 26, 2017 #25 Share Posted January 26, 2017 Get a safety deposit box at guest services. It used to cost $50 for the cruise which was then returned to you when you returned the key. I have gotten one in a few years though. There are certain hours that they will allow access to your box. If however when you are in the casino and are a big enough player you will be able get into your box at anytime with a phone call from the casino manager.
