Sorry. No frother. We sailed on the Epic as she came out of dry dock with the new Nespresso machines and Forte pyramid teas.

They won't run out of pods. ;) I requested the pods I did not want to be removed to make room for the one I did love. It was done every time. I love coffee especially when someone else makes my French Press in the restaurant.

Traveling with young kids. Are there locks on the doors out to the balcony? Ones that would be difficult for a child to open? TIA

Depends on how young -- there is definitely a lock and it isn't the easiest to open. My 7-year old could easily open if he really wants to, but as long as he isn't alone in the cabin, which he would never be -- it's not a problem.

Thanks! Both are younger than 7. Wasn't sure if we needed to bring something extra to secure the door. Agree, they will not be left alone.....but they're fast 😉

I honestly don't think that under 7 with you in the cabin that they'll be able to open it. I sometimes need to do it 2 handed -- just make sure that each time you come in you lock it and you lock your front door to the cabin as well -- that's the door that always worried me when mine were smaller -- but we just locked in when we were inside like we were going to bed at night and then were not worried.

My kids love NCL -- they love the kids clubs, the activities and the food. We love the peace and quiet we get when they are in the kids club as well as the fun we can have together. It's the best of both worlds. We did the Haven (Getaway) for the first time on our last cruise -- as an upsell -- and it was the best thing we did. I was less worried about my smallest in the Haven pool than in the big one and we could be right on top of him without being in the pool with him so he could have independence.

 

We haven't done the Epic with our kids, but will be in December. I look forward to read about your experiences!
