thegoodlife247 Posted February 8, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2017 I am pretty sure Carnival carries non-alcoholic ginger beer to make moscow mules and dark and stormy's. My question is can I get a can of non-alcoholic ginger beer and it NOT count towards my 15 drink limit for cheers? If not, I will try to bring on a few cans of it. d12j28 Posted February 8, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 8, 2017 I do know they have the Ginger beer and it is non-alcoholic, but do not know if you can just get a can or not. Never asked for one. They have a very good rum and ginger beer drink they make.

thegoodlife247 Posted February 8, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted February 8, 2017 Of course there will be some rum added from my stateroom order. To clarify a previous post, there is alcoholic and non alcoholic ginger beers but the non alcoholic is usually used as a drink mixer. Rare MisterOJ2 Posted February 8, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 8, 2017 This might be a dumb question, but what's the difference between non alcoholic ginger beer and ginger ale? I always assumed ginger beer was alcoholic and ginger ale was not.
thegoodlife247 Posted February 8, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted February 8, 2017 The big difference between ginger beer and ginger ale is that ginger beer is brewed (fermented) but ginger ale is just carbonated water that's been flavored with ginger. realjd Posted February 8, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 8, 2017 This might be a dumb question, but what's the difference between non alcoholic ginger beer and ginger ale? I always assumed ginger beer was alcoholic and ginger ale was not. Ginger beer is a fermented beverage. It's way less sweet and has a much stronger ginger flavor than ginger ale which is basically a ginger flavored soda.
Max Circus Posted February 8, 2017 #9 Share Posted February 8, 2017 I was able to order Gosling's ginger beer (non-alcoholic) on the Valor. This was at the aft pool bar. I found they didn't have it at all the bars. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Was charged for the can and server was not real happy with the order. Had the same bartender a few times and seemed to see it as an imposition. Nonethelesss, I was able t get it! SNJCruisers Posted February 8, 2017 #12 Share Posted February 8, 2017 There is also a Dark & Stormy milkshake available at the Shake Spot on the Sunshine and Vista that adds vanilla ice cream to the gosling's rum and ginger beer. I highly recommend it!
frayedend Posted February 9, 2017 #14 Share Posted February 9, 2017 Just to add a bit more info on ginger beer, the alcoholic version, usually brewed by home brewers, simply uses more sugar. Sugar is fermented into alcohol. Non-alcoholic ginger beer contains less than 0.5% alcohol because it is brewed with less sugar.
thegoodlife247 Posted February 9, 2017 Author #15 Share Posted February 9, 2017 Why would you be charged for a non alcoholic drink when you had the bubbles program? Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
SNJCruisers Posted February 9, 2017 #16 Share Posted February 9, 2017 Why would you be charged for a non alcoholic drink when you had the bubbles program? The bubbles program covers soda and juice. It does not cover other non alcoholic items such as bottled water, espresso based coffee drinks, milk shakes, smoothies, and energy drinks. Ginger beer is not really soda, so it's sort of a gray issue if it's covered or not. Bloody Mary mix is a mixture that is an enhanced juice, so I assume that ginger beer would be considered a similar type item that is really a mixer but should be covered. YMMV, but I assume that you could probably get it at most bars that serve it if you have the bubbles program.
Fourkids4us Posted February 9, 2017 #17 Share Posted February 9, 2017 I ordered Ginger Beer constantly with my cheers. You cannot get it with BB though. My daughter tried. It doesn't count towards 15. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
