MDR for Kids Dinner Only

We are sailing on the RCI Allure. One night my husband and I would like to try one of the specialty restaurants without the kids and then have a parent night out. Is it possible to take the kids to dinner at the MDR at the early seating and have the kids picked up by the OA crew 40 minutes in? We might have an appetizer or something while we were there but then leave as soon as they are pick up. We could go to the Specialty restaurant? I know we could check them in for dinner at the OA but they have food allergies and we feel more comfortable feeding them ourselves and the MDR can have a preordered meal ready for them. If we wait to take them the OA when it opens at 7 by the time we finish our meal we won't have much time before picking them up at 10.
