woodley Posted February 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2017 We are travelling with our two grand children age 3 and 6 and have two upper bunks in the room. The only picture I have been able to find had no safety rails and now I am worried. Can anyone who has travelled in an ocean view cabin with four people let me know what they are like? I suppose I can always pull the mattress onto the floor if there are none but would rather not do that if at all possible.
Rare Essiesmom Posted February 12, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2017 Divina OV quad: if you are not comfortable with the youngest up in the bunk, you might turn one of the chairs to the wall for a bed, or face the chairs together and make a bed. Shellbyhc Posted February 13, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 13, 2017 Which cruise liner? Ours had safety rails but only 1 chair and no room to make beds with chairs etc. you could put them on the floor but then you might step in them when going to the bathroom. Are you guys able to use the top bunks? (I don't know your age sorry but I know my dad at 65 slept on a top bunk once.) This was P and O quad room with ocean view. Rare Essiesmom Posted February 13, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 13, 2017 Really? The OP asks a question on the MSC board presumably about an MSC ship, and you post experience and pictures of P&O? EM
brenderlou Posted February 13, 2017 #7 Share Posted February 13, 2017 Really? The OP asks a question on the MSC board presumably about an MSC ship, and you post experience and pictures of P&O? EM Because all upper bunks will have rails for safety purposes....... Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Labadoozer Cruizers Posted February 14, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 14, 2017 My young daughter once fell out of a upper bunk that had a partial rail. Similar to the one pictured. Luckily she was ok. Never again. Kids always got the lower beds. Sent from my iPad using Forums
