Free wifi

Recommended Posts

Follow the crew.

When you do, you find that you can't connect because whatever it is that they are connecting to is maxed out.

My advice is if you are desperate for the internet, get it from the ship. Don't waste your precious shore time running around looking for free wifi. If you think the ship's wifi is slow, wait until you try the local McDonald's on a port day.

That said, cafes and restaurants will often hook you up if you buy something, but if you want really free wifi your best bet is the local library.

I agree. Cruise ports are for your enjoyment. You've travelled all that way why would you waste your time trying to find free internet when you can be exploring somewhere you've never been before?

Sure, follow the crew but you'll spend all your time sitting in a dingy room waiting for your turn to connect. Get out, see the world, and buy an internet package from the ship if it's so important to you.

in the heart of Noumea, there is the Place des Cocotiers...a large square.

on the left (as you face the square), mid way up the side, there is a tourism information centre.

we found free wi-fi there....look about 1.5 m up the poles to find the signs (lol)

Does anyone where in Noumea, Suva, and Lautoka you can connect to free wifi?

Hi Radiancecruiser,

The best place to start is the Barista Café.

Address is 3 Rue Anatoie France. Very easy to find.

From the cruise terminal building, walk to the right of the terminal building and cross the road where the Casino Supermarket is. Walk up Rue Anatoie France to the next corner near the post office on the left.

Nice coffee and they take aussie dollars. Have a great stay.

Enjoy.
