Galleon1234 Posted February 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2017 Does the pool at the back of the ship have the dome that closes and opens over it? Does the main middle pool have the padded chairs and foot stools on the deck above the pool that looks down to the pool and theater movie screen? Thanks for any info! bazeven Posted February 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2017 We were on the freedom earlier this month. It does have the dome that opens and closes over the back pool. I do not know of any padded chairs and foot stools on the deck above the pool - as far as I remember, they were all loungers.
Galleon1234 Posted February 24, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted February 24, 2017 Thank you. We are just off the Breeze and are booked on the Freedom next Fall. The Breeze and I think the Magic had chairs and foot stools with pillows on the deck above the main middle pool near the movie screen. Thanks for the info about the dome over the back pool! AussieOmni Posted February 24, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 24, 2017 No footstools. It's stadium style on Freedom and almost all are pool loungers. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

timeinthesand Posted March 7, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 7, 2017 In addition to the loungers they have those roundish hard plastic blue ones that rock when you sit in them. They are very comfortable too...
OKIEFROMTULSA Posted June 7, 2017 #7 Share Posted June 7, 2017 I was on the Freedom in February, before they changed the Aft pool to "family friendly". I'm disappointed by this change since it was one of the places that I really enjoyed spending "adult" time. I know there's the Serenity Area, but there is not a pool there. Does anyone have any comments on what the Aft pool area is like now? I have another cruise booked on the Freedom for next February so I'm just curious. Rare MeganGC1983 Posted June 7, 2017 #9 Share Posted June 7, 2017 I read somewhere that the "Adults Only" signs are still up on the Freedom. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Very disappointing and yes, there were kids in the pool and hot tubs. Booo!
OKIEFROMTULSA Posted June 7, 2017 #12 Share Posted June 7, 2017 Well hopefully in February most of the kids will be in school!
ABQrobin Posted June 7, 2017 #13 Share Posted June 7, 2017 The aft pool still has the "Adults only" sign up.last week...but as you can see, people are ignoring it. At least the first day, maybe someone told them as I didn't see kids in it any other time.
OKIEFROMTULSA Posted June 7, 2017 #14 Share Posted June 7, 2017 ABQrobin thanks for the picture. Like I said, this area is one of my favorites for "adult" time. I would think the kids would have more fun in the Lido pool anyway!

Galleon1234 Posted June 7, 2017 Author #16 Share Posted June 7, 2017 We cruise both RCCL and Carnival plus few others. I am shocked and disappointed in so much RCCL has changed and NOT for the better. They have gone down hill and Carnival has come way up hill in our view. I asked my Travel Agent what is going on with RCCL?? She said they have become money grubbers. RCCL used to be our preferred cruise line. We still cruise them but they are not the "Classy" fun cruise line we used to love and prefer. The Promenade has turned into a flea market. Anyone know if they are being run by different execs? Wish they would get some new ones and return it back to our favorite cruise line.
