Carry on for drinks

Can I use this?

 

We want to take a case of water and a couple of 12 pks for the kids. Is this allowed or do we have to put it in luggage that we carry on? Thank you for any help.

You can place your beverages in whatever you wish, provided that it will fit thru the scanner. This appears to fold up, sh should be fine. Note (which you seem to understand already), NO beverages are permitted in checked luggage.

 

I suspect you are aware that fountain serve beverages are included in your cruise fare. Yes, I went thru that era where she HAD to have Diet Dr. Pepper (the fountain serve is coke products). Funny, but that ended as soon as I suggested that she was old enough to lug her own! Suddenly, Diet Coke was an acceptable substitute.

Thank you moki'smommy, you are so helpful! LOL! My daughter loves her Dr. Pepper so we will probably bring her 1 12pk and I drink nothing but water but will want some bottles for the room so I don't have to go back and forth. Plus hubby wants his beer. So trying to find the best way to haul the drinks.

If I am reading these replies correctly then if we had 4 adults in our group we could put the 8 bottles of wine all in same carry on luggage as long as we all boarded together, correct?

But it is really that you all have to clear security together, not board. So if you do the "one person drops off the rental car and comes back later" thing, you could have problems with entering the terminal with 8 bottles and only 3 people.

I have taken bottled water on board previously but on our 5 night trip on the Magic that just ended a few days ago, I decided to go with a metal vacuum bottle to keep my beverages cold. I found many different sizes and types on Amazon, I got very cold water at the drink station on board when ever I wanted it so I didn't want for anything to drink and the bottle kept it cold even if I left it in the stateroom over night. Save yourself all that lugging, and consider that. I should mention I don't drink carbonated beverages at all, but use powdered drink mix single packets I bring along, much lighter than hauling cases of bottled water on board.

Interesting, since by that wording a carry on with wheels would be prohibited.

The prohibited list also popped up when I typed "wagon" in the search field. I'm 99% sure that wagons are not allowed.

Yep. NOT allowed...

It will be hard to maneuver with a wagon. There are a lot of people on the open decks, the elevators are always pretty full, and the hallways are narrow. It is such a pain bringing on drinks. It's so much easier to buy a case of water onboard. Yes, it's more expensive, but you are paying thousands to cruise....Just saying. Soda is free onboard. I agree with moki'smommy, if the kids want different soda, they carry it!

They may not allow a wagon.... but they are not likely going to stop a wheelchair. I use a transport wheelchair to haul luggage and other things, you don't need as much space to turn around either. Baby strollers work great too.

I would suspect that there would be questions about a baby stroller if there is no baby traveling. PLUS you have to store it in your cabin.
