CozGurl Posted March 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2017 We are sailing on the Dream in a couple of weeks. We have noon check in time and no fttf. Once on board, what is a realistic time to expect to be in our cabin? Or what would be the latest time to expect to be in our cabin?
sk8rmomof3 Posted March 5, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2017 I thought I read somewhere that rooms aren't ready until 2:30pm. When we sailed with RC it was 2pm.
Rosefloater Posted March 5, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 5, 2017 The cabins open up around 1-1:
maryred Posted March 5, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2017 The cruise terminal in NOLA is pretty good at processing passengers at all levels as long as they follow the staggered boarding time they picked. On our cruise in 2015 we arrived before boarding had started, but the general boarding passengers we spoke with that arrived after noon stated that from luggage drop off to stepping on board the ship was about a 45 minute process with no wait to board after finishing with the check-in clerk. Non-priority cabins should be ready by 1:30/2 pm, if possibly boarding before then keep your carry-on load light as you will taking the bag around the ship with you. Drazil65 Posted March 5, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 5, 2017 If you do not have FTTF (cabins ready when you board) then 1:30 seems to be the time they open the public doors to the cabin hallways.
HawkIVette Posted March 5, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 5, 2017 Yes, 1:30. Have not been on the Dream lately, but of the all the cruises lately I have been on, hallway doors are usually open and announcement made by 1:30.
etwright Posted March 5, 2017 #7 Share Posted March 5, 2017 Usually around 1:00-1:30.
JMAE Posted March 5, 2017 #8 Share Posted March 5, 2017 The standard time across CCL for stateroom entrance is 1:30. Per CCL FAQ: You may access staterooms no earlier than 1:30pm, unless you are a VIFP Diamond or Platinum level guest or have purchased Faster to the Fun. Shaded Lady Posted March 5, 2017 #9 Share Posted March 5, 2017 The standard time across CCL for stateroom entrance is 1:30. Per CCL FAQ: You may access staterooms no earlier than 1:30pm, unless you are a VIFP Diamond or Platinum level guest or have purchased Faster to the Fun. This is the norm, but I've also cruised a couple of times where they've made an announcement around 1 that the rooms are ready and you could access them at that time. Rare mexicobob Posted March 6, 2017 #10 Share Posted March 6, 2017 Week before last we were on the Dream and boarded last minute. Parked the car at the terminal and walked around the French Quarter. Guarantee you lunch is better there than anything found on the ship. We were the only passengers in the terminal. This was about 2:30. Easiest embarkation I have ever experienced and plan to do it every time. Our cabin was ready at that time. Sure beats the lines and hassle of earlier arrival.
