British isles Dublin transport from the port

Anyone that may have some experience on the best or easiest way to get from the ship to downtown Dublin. I read it can be quite a hike to get to the Luas stop and since it is an industrial port walking there may be frowned upon. We are there overnight so I am looking for some possible flexibility especially to come back late to the ship. I am a limitless gun shy on getting to the ship during the overnight due to a near miss in Venice last summer where the transport from the water taxi stop to the port was closed and the signage was non too good

Princess have a shuttle coach in Dublin - you can buy tickets on board the ship. It drops you near the amusingly titled "Knobs and Knockers" shop. The HO-HO buses run from this street for a narrated tour of the city.

If you prefer to use a reliable car service, I've used Tommy Walsh at: tommystaxitours@hotmail.com He does transportation of all sorts and also great day tours which I did with a group from my British Isles roll call in 2012. We're using him again soon and all contact with him has been quick and responsive.

 

What was the cost of the Princess transfers to Knobs & Knockers? How often did the they run the transfer? Was it every half hour or just a one-time kind of transfer?

What street is Knobs and Knockers on? Is it near St. Stephen's Green?
