dani negreanu Posted March 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2017 Barbados being the last port in a 5 intensive port days, I'm looking for a less "organized/scheduled" experience. DH is an amateur photographer, and my understanding is that the Batsheba coast is very scenic. What I'd mostly like to do is taking a taxi to Batsheba, DH will take pictures from various spots, and then head to relax to a nice beach, with shade/umbrellas, from where we can easily take a taxi back to ship. DH will wait for me in the shade, and I'd like to at least once take a swim in the Caribbean sea. Thanking you in advance for any tips, Dani
muskatnuss Posted March 14, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 14, 2017 After doing your Bathsheba thing - no shade - I would go to Accra Beach. Shade, Sea, and Photos!!!

Thank you so much for your reply, muskatnuss :D Accra beach - are there umbrellas/chairs for rent? Can you safely swim there? Thanks again, Dani
Communik8r Posted March 16, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 16, 2017 You can't swim on the Bathsheba side (eastern) unless you are a very strong swimmer. Western side is way better for swim/snorkel with some great beaches. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
2PinaColadas Posted June 1, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 1, 2017 We would like to go to Bathsheba then Accra-- sounds perfect for us. What is the least expensive way to do this? I rather spend money on fufu drinks and fun instead of cabs. :D Thanks

To Bathsheba we went, took pics, and then he took us to Harbor Lights. Beautiful beach, paid 20$ for 2 chairs and umbrella, which I used to leave my things, go swimming in the amazing water, while DH checked emails and FB with high speed wifi. Just don't be intimidated and don't be afraid to "stick to your guns"... they can be very pushy:D
