no1volman Posted March 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2017 We booked early saver for our July cruise back in December. And last month I noticed our rate went down and they were also offering $50 on board credit per room. So I called and took advantage of the better rate with OBC. Tonight I noticed our rate dropped another $20 per room (we have 2 rooms booked) but they're no longer offering the OBC. So if I take advantage of the price drop would I lose that OBC? cccer Posted March 12, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2017 You will most likely lose the OBC. Always take into account the OBC with any price drop.
cruizinisthebest Posted March 12, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2017 Yes you will lose the obc you have now. I'm in the same exact spot. Got two drops and was able to maintain the obc I had from that rate. My cabin dropped again by $20pp about a week ago but there's no obc with that rate so I've opted out of calling it in. I would be down by $10 if I did. Keep checking. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

SadieN Posted March 12, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 12, 2017 Essentially you're cancelling your first fare and rebooking at the second fare.
easyboy Posted March 12, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 12, 2017 Rebooking with the new fare without the OBC will make you lose your current OBC.
Bases5 Posted March 12, 2017 #7 Share Posted March 12, 2017 Just a side note as others have answered your questions. It's usually not much but always calculate you original port taxes to the current ones when checking on price drops. This will effect the price drop also. I did this a few years back. There was a $10 pp price drop so we submitted the form, however the port taxes went up $8 pp so we only had a $ 4 net gain. Just some FYI

BenjiRodney Posted March 12, 2017 #9 Share Posted March 12, 2017 We lost our $25.00 per person but the price drop was $142.00, so I gladly gave up 25 to gain 71 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
nychad10 Posted March 12, 2017 #10 Share Posted March 12, 2017 You will lose it so just make sure you at least break even... At this point you need drops of at least $25 per cabin

Rare ontheweb Posted March 13, 2017 #12 Share Posted March 13, 2017 Also make sure if you paid a reduced deposit that the new rate also includes that feature.
